  • template cluster: the --disable-oidc flag leaves global.controlPlane.oidc out.

  • template cluster: for CAPA, CAPZ, vSphere and Cloud Director, the cluster’s API server trusts the OIDC issuer (Dex) of the management cluster the kubeconfig context points at by default. global.controlPlane.oidc is read from the management cluster’s own control plane; given --oidc-* flags override single settings, --oidc-issuer-url with --oidc-client-id names another issuer. A failed lookup is an error naming the cause and --disable-oidc. --oidc-ca-file now renders its PEM file as caPem, and Cloud Director renders the OIDC keys the chart’s schema expects.
